Kissed goodbye
by Mom and Dad

All fought hard

others crossed over
no courage did they lack

we call Memorial Day
remember why they went

doing wash that day
when my Mom called in tears
have you looked at your TV she did say
What are you talking about my dear
and why are you crying so bad
I flipped on my TV and took a look
and then I was so sad

They told us we should leave
but some of us just said no
