Darkness hides the real me
Must not let others see.

A happy face, a pretty smile
Helps to hide the inner vile.

Walls built high to protect my soul
Must not let others know.

A pleasant voice, and kind words
Keeps me safe in my world.

Depression and sadness feel like sin
Must not let others in.

Forever falling into black
Two steps forward, three steps back.
